![]() Why those bugs went on for so long are beyond me. The only good thing to come out of 1.10 imo were some critical bug fixes like popping and the bug where throwing an oil potion in PVP caused the other person to disconnect. It started to feel like a cheesy third party mod. Iconic class skills, like teleport, were now available to everyone. This was a good thing for the direction of the game, but if you were someone who traded for those things (and they were expensive) then you were screwed. All the Zephyrs, bugged valors, Ith weapons, occy sojs, bugged jewels disappeared. Only way to mitigate it was only trade for unidentified items. Lots of times you had no way of knowing if something you traded for was duped or not. If you had any items that were duped, it was gone. ![]() A lot of the changes this patch were aimed at punishing the players. Maybe this happened and I don't remember it?).Ĭow level got nerfed for some reason. What's even worse, since they added synergies in 1.10 and you couldn't respec back then, your level 99 characters became obsolete and borderline useless overnight because you didn't optimize for synergies (This was back in 2003 and I don't remember them resetting everyone's skills and stat points for 1.10. I don't remember hell being particularly easy in 1.09 and drop rates were fine the way they were. They nerfed power leveling, increased difficulty, and made the drop rates even worse. Why would you go with Frozen orb now when Blizzard has an extra synergy to do more damage? Some skills have more synergies than others. They added synergies that killed build diversity. ![]() The days of Windforce and Grandfather were long gone. They added a lot of powerful runewords, basically killing the use of a lot of unique items. 1.10 is what killed the game for a lot of people. ![]()
